Easy Hummus recipe

What is Hummus?

I've been always fond of trying easy peasy recipes which are super foods as well. Hummus is one such thing, a dip super healthy dip or a side dish u can enjoy with khaboos/pita bread, chips, crackers, veggie sticks so on packed with proteins...and it comes from middle eastern part of world and much popular in North America and European countries.
My version of Hummus as follows...
Let's begin with recipe this 2 min recipe...

Ingredients to make hummus

  • Chickpeas 1cup (chole/kabuli channa) (Soaked for 8hrs)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  •  sesame (roated white til) 1 big spn
  • olive oil (any oil will do) 2 big spns
  • salt as per taste
  •  Chilli flakes, pepper powder

Method of Making Hummus:- 

  • In a mixer jar put soaked cheakpeas/channa
  •  Add salt, oil, til/sesame, and give a grind. 3-4 sec
  • Open lid add few spoons of water and grind again till the paste is smooth.
  • Take out pate in a bowl, drizzle oil put chilli flakes, pepper powder.

Voila your basic easy peasy Hummus is ready within no time. Enjoy it this yum and quick protein packed dip with chips as dip, or spread in sandwiches.

Note:-
There are many variations like you can add chopped beet for pink color and make it pink Hummus, add palak leaves or some green chillies for more spicyness.
